What PayMap stores, and where
When you add bills in the Bills tab, that information is saved using your browser's local storage — a small space on your own phone or computer. It works the same way a note saved in an app on your device does.
This means:
- The data stays on the device you entered it on.
- It isn't sent to us, because PayMap has no server that receives it.
- It isn't synced between your devices. Bills added on your phone won't appear on your laptop.
- Deleting the app, clearing your browser data, or removing a bill erases it permanently.
Everything you type into the calculators — balances, rates, payments — is used only to display your result and is not saved at all once you leave the page.
Hosting
PayMap is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like nearly all websites, Cloudflare's servers process basic technical information needed to deliver the page to you, such as your IP address and browser type. This is standard infrastructure logging performed by the host, is not used by PayMap to identify you, and is not accessible to us in a form that identifies individual users.
You can read Cloudflare's privacy practices at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.
Children's privacy
PayMap is a general-purpose educational calculator and is not directed at children under 13. Because the app collects no personal information from anyone, it does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your rights and choices
Privacy laws such as the GDPR and CCPA give people rights to access, correct, or delete personal data a company holds about them. PayMap holds no personal data about you, so there is nothing for us to retrieve, correct, or delete on your behalf.
You remain in full control of anything stored on your device: remove individual bills inside the app, or clear your browser's site data to erase everything at once.
This is an educational tool, not financial advice
Interest rate ranges shown in the Learn section are typical published U.S. averages included for general education. They change over time and are not offers or quotes.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date at the top. Since PayMap's approach is to collect nothing, any future change would be a meaningful one, and we'd rather it be visible than buried.
